Rhassoul Clay is a rich mineral clay which is mined from the Atlas Mountain of Morocco, which is deposited in clay around the mountains. It is formed as a result of natural geothermal processes and volcanic activity. The clay is extracted, washed, sun-dried and then micronized into a smooth earthy powder. It has been commonly used by men and women, in North Africa and is also known as Moroccan Clay and Ghassoul Clay.
