Fuller's Earth (Multani Mitti)

Fuller's Earth is a natural occurring clay, which is commonly known as Multani Mitti. It is known for its purifying and absorbent properties and is an excellent agent to clean, exfoliate and nourish your skin. It has active ingredients which absorbs excess oil, moisture, impurities, controls overproduction of sebum and removes dirt and pollution from pores.

It was originally used by Clothing workers who used it before dying or bleaching cloth. It is usually akin to Bentonite Clay, but the geological process of occurring is different. It is known by the name, Multani Mitti in India, as in the past it was imported from Multan, Pakistan.

It has been used in India, since a very long time for skin and hair benefits. It is used to treat burns, rashes and acne. It is most beneficial in treating oily skin and reducing excess oil production. It is used as an Ubtan in many cultures to bring out glow and reduce dead skin. It is added to skin care products for the same benefits. It also reduces excess oil in the scalp, that prevents greasy hair and that’s why it is added to hair care products. It is also very famous in cosmetic world, and added to all natural soaps and cleansers. It is added to bathing products as well.  It is also beneficial in treating body rashes, redness, itching and diaper rashes in babies as well.
